Rand Paul And George Stephanopoulos Have Fiery Election Fraud Debate

Mainstream media outlets tend to push their own political narrative and when a guest comes on the show to challenge that, sparks fly. During Sunday’s “This Week,” ABC host George Stephanopoulos sat down with Sen. Rand Paul to talk about allegations of election fraud, which resulted in the host trying to persuade him that the election wasn’t stolen at all.

From the beginning of the interview, Stephanopoulos demanded Sen. Paul to accept the fact that the election was not stolen and that all 86 challenges filed by former President Trump and his allies were dismissed in court. The Republican lawmaker pointed out that there was a bigger – and more important – question at hand.

“What I would say is that the debate over whether or not there was election fraud should occur, we never had any presentation in court where we actually looked at the evidence. Most of the cases were thrown out for a lack of standing, which is a procedural way of not actually hearing the question. There were several states in which the law was changed by the secretary of state and not the state legislature,” Sen. Paul said.

Whether or not those cases make their way up to the Supreme Court, Sen. Paul argued that it is unconstitutional to ignore an investigation if votes came from those who were dead, illegal aliens, or just cast twice, during a presidential election.

Stephanopoulos interrupted him by saying that Attorney General Bill Barr found no evidence of widespread fraud. “Can’t you just say the words, ‘This election was not stolen?’” He pressed.

“What I would suggest is, is that if we want greater confidence in our elections and 75% of Republicans agree with me is that we do need to look at election integrity and we need to see if we can restore confidence in the election,” Sen. Paul responded.

He argued that liberals immediately see everything as a lie instead of seeing that there are two sides to everything. He argued that while he had voted to certify the Electoral College vote on Jan. 6, he believes the election still needs to be examined. He blamed the media for inserting the story that all Republicans were liars instead of interviewing somebody on the “other side.”

Left-leaning media platforms were reminded by Sen. Paul that there are always two sides to every story as a journalist. You don’t insert yourself into the story and call everyone a liar just for simply looking into the secretaries of state who had changed election laws at the last minute. It’s not something to sweep under the rug.

Leftists choose to be blinded by hate rather than the constitutional process of an election’s integrity.
