MyPillow CEO Is Fighting Big Tech With His New Social Media Platform

Published on

With plans to advocate for free speech, MyPillow CEO and founder Mike Lindell recently announced that he will be launching a new social media platform that will give voices to all of those who have been silenced and censored by Big Tech platforms. Lindell was kicked off Twitter multiple times for numerous violations of their “Civil Integrity Policy,” but was eventually banned from the platform for claiming the election to be rigged against Former President Donald Trump.

Lindell also had issues with YouTube and Vimeo after they censored and removed his documentary “Absolute Proof,” which questioned the results of the 2020 presidential election. While Facebook still allows the video to be viewed, fact-checkers added a label at the bottom of it noting that it was “partly false information.”

Lindell was later sued over the videos by the Dominion Voting System for “defamation” and “stealing millions of votes in the federal election,” in which they asked for $1.3 billion in damages. “I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election,” he said.

Last year, Google even allowed Lindell to purchase tens of thousands of dollars in ads so that more people could research and find evidence on election fraud, before shutting the ads down permanently. He has also lost millions in MyPillow revenue after the “cancel culture” got many companies, including Bed Bath & Beyond and Wayfair, to drop his product for questioning the election results and supporting former President Donald Trump. Kohl’s and J.C Penney also dropped the brand but claimed it was due to a “slowdown in sales.”

Lindell shared during an interview with Charlie Kirk on “The Charlie Kirk Show” that he has been working on the website for four years now and plans to make it live in less than a month. He said this would restore free speech to all of the voices, especially conservatives, who have been banned by mainstream tech platforms. He railed against media platforms for suppressing American voices and said he plans to launch the platform so that all the voices of our country can come back and start telling it like it is.

“You will not need YouTube. You won’t need these places. So it will be where everything can be told because we’ve got to get our voices back. People will be able to talk and not walk on eggshells. Every single influencer person on the planet can come there. You’re going to have a platform to speak out,” Lindell said.

Lindell has not announced the platform’s name yet or what it looks like, but emphasized that the site will provide transparency, clarity on “hate speech,” and equal footing for all conservatives.

It’s time for the media giants to have some real competition – as long as the App Store doesn’t try to cancel the platform before it reaches users like it did to the conservative-friendly platform Parler. If you like free speech, Lindell’s new platform might be the one for you.
