Black Father With Two Medical Degrees Blasts Critical Race Theory’s Harmful View Of The World

Ty Smith, host of “Cancel This with Ty Smith” on FM talk station Cities 92.9, recently obliterated Critical Race Theory at a packed Illinois school board meeting and shared his personal opinion regarding the curriculum. He talked about his own experiences in communities and that Black folks are telling other Black folks that White folks will always keep them down. He called Critical Race Theory a “lie” and said that it peddles ideology opposite of what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr preached about.

“Two medical degrees. No mom, no dad in the house. Worked my way through college, sat there and hustled my butt off to get through college. You going to tell me somebody look like all y’all white folks kept me from doing it? Are you serious? Not one white person ever came to me and said, ‘Well son, you’re never gonna be able to get nowhere because, you know, the black people,’” Smith said.

Ty talked about how he is directing over folks who look just like the guys in the meeting room and asked the board members what kept him down. “What oppressed me?” He questioned.

He talked about how Martin Luther King preached about kids growing up in a world where they are judged by the content of their character, not their skin. He said that if the school board lets this stuff be taught in the classrooms, then it will be the complete opposite of what Martin Luther King was doing. He said that the curriculum is a “bunch of nonsense” that presents a harmful view of the world to convey to young children. He pointed out how children will see other kids, regardless of skin color, and immediately start playing with them.

“I guarantee you to the day that I die, I’m going to be the very person right there debunking this stuff, tearing stuff down, letting them know they can do exactly what I did and get exactly where I am by putting themselves to work and getting their [inaudible] … not one white person ever going to keep any of them from getting there. So CRT stuff, BS,” Smith said.

Smith later told Fox News’s Martha MacCallum that nobody at the board meeting who was advocating for CRT had anything to say about his comments. He made the point that he chose how to live his life and that skin color was never a barrier. He said he moved past the disadvantages he grew up with and made decisions to make his life better and become successful.

Smith told MacCallum that he wasn’t buying “leftist virtue-signaling” and said that most of the people who march in the streets rarely go to the communities he works with on a daily basis. He said there was no evidence of systemic racism and that the media’s message to disadvantaged people is wrong.

Democrat’s worst nightmare is an independent, educated, self-supporting Black population that doesn’t fall for the idea of Big Government dependence. Smith’s sense of personal responsibility and self-reliance is contrary to the agenda of the radical left …which scares them to death.
