Retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, who was a member of the 2016 Trump campaign, recently shared that he is not convinced that we’re going to have a free and fair election in 2022 if the 2020 election isn’t addressed. He said that the issues of election integrity are not going away and encouraged local action and getting communities involved to make a national impact.
“There’s one thing I learned in my political persecution, the truth will come out – it will come out, and it is coming out. And actually the people of this country, that’s all they want. If it was just mistakes made, people will forgive – the American people will forgive mistakes,” Flynn shared on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast.
Flynn warned that if there’s any corruption, criminal activity, or malfeasance, to use your words, then the American people will not be so forgiving and take actions into their own hands. He said that he has seen more township, parishes, and county-level people getting involved in the election integrity issue and not letting go anytime soon.
Flynn’s nonprofit, America’s Future, is even funding some of the GOP-led audits of the 2020 presidential election in Arizona’s Maricopa County and in Georgia’s Fulton County. So far, Fulton County audit documents have been exposing significant election failures, including more than 100 batches of absentee ballots missing and election tabulation malpractice by the county’s top election supervisors. This could affect thousands of ballots in a race where Joe Biden was certified as the winner with less than 12,000 votes.
Reports from the election audit process have recorded troubling behaviors, like the removal of a suitcase full of election data. A Seven Hills Strategy contractor wrote that a stranger took the wrong suitcase and walked out with sensitive election materials. They said that it seems to be a mystery as to who that person is and that there should have been a chain of custody paperwork to determine who it was. The report also reads that the sealed election materials were left on a loading dock outside of the warehouse without any supervision.
Whether this is a pattern of fraud or just pure incompetence, people have called for the removal of top election officials. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said he has called on the elections director to be removed from his position but that the leadership of Fulton County has continued to fail to act.
“It is no secret that Fulton has had issues in their elections department for decades, which is why I insisted on a state monitor being present to be eyes and ears on the ground. He did not see any evidence of fraud despite having full access, but he saw continued mismanagement, miscommunication, unpreparedness, and sloppiness. Georgia voters deserve better,” Raffensperger said.
So far, the report found more than 100 batches of missing absentee ballots, more than two dozen batches of absentee ballots being double scanned, five batches of absentee votes with the exact same vote count (which is a statistic impossibility), and many ballots not coming from a secure container.
Forensic accountant David Sawyer said that the process needs to be “more fully investigated” since there is the possibility that missing batches may not have been counted.
Mike Flynn said that the election audits need to be resolved so that the American people can firmly believe in the election process and know that their vote was counted.
“All these things are going to happen. These are going to happen, whether they like it or not – whether the Democrats like it or not. So election integrity is not something that’s gonna go away. And I am not convinced that we’re gonna have a free and fair election in 2022 unless we get 2020 squared away,” Flynn said.
Even Pennsylvania has talked about the “very real possibility” to conduct an independent election audit in the aftermath of the 2020 election. Pennsylvania state senator backed an Arizona-style audit of the ballots just four days after former President Donald Trump called him out and claimed he was dragging his feet. While the state has been considering subpoenas for ballot information, they have not considered which jurisdictions yet.
Fraud is fraud whether it occurred before certification or after. Electors better get ready as more states continue to conduct their own audits and are finding more troubling results than they bargained for. It’s less about reinstating Trump and more about prosecuting the Democrats involved.
