It seems like the Washington Post and the rest of the mainstream media have forgotten that anyone who has been vaccinated owes a ton of gratitude to the Trump Administration.
Vaccines were created and distributed at tremendous speeds under President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed program. He bought nearly one billion doses of the various vaccines, with more than enough to vaccinate the entire population of the U.S. While Republicans still believe that vaccines are a choice, Democrats seem to forget that the vaccines were created under President Trump in the first place.
As the Washington Post points out, Biden said back in 2020 that Americans should only trust a coronavirus vaccine if the president gives “honest answers” to questions about its safety, effectiveness, and equitable distribution. The comment was deemed remarkably irresponsible and just shows that Biden would still be attacking vaccines if he lost today.
The moment Biden got into the White House, he started talking about herd immunity and ways to get more Americans vaccinated, including community outreach through a door-to-door approach. While the White House has praised Biden’s vaccination numbers in the country, they looked the other way when Trump was there creating the program.
A recent Rasmussen poll even found that voters believe former President Donald Trump deserves more credit for the COVID-19 vaccination program than President Biden. 51% of voters responded with Trump as their answer for who deserves more credit for the program while Biden received 41%.
The report also asked voters if they strongly approve, somewhat approve, somewhat disapprove, or strongly disapprove of President Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. 81% of Democrats voted that they approved compared to 32% of Republicans and 52% of non-affiliated voters.
Even gubernatorial candidate Sarah Sanders argued that Trump needs more credit for Operation Warp Speed and that Biden was wrong about it the whole time. She went on to say that if she were elected governor in Arkansas then she would not implement any COVID-19-related mandates. She said they would not shut down churches, schools, or other large gatherings because they believe in “personal freedom and responsibility.”
Sanders also praised Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for his job managing COVID-19 while keeping Florida open. She said Trump needed more credit for the success of distributing vaccines in the country so quickly while Biden’s administration failed to meet its vaccination goal of ensuring 70% of the nation’s adults received at least one shot by July 4.
According to former President Donald Trump, one of the reasons people are unwilling to take the vaccine is because they “don’t trust the Election results” from November 2020. He said they saw vaccine development and disbursement happen in “record time” while encouraging his own supporters to get vaccinated.
“Joe Biden kept talking about how good of a job he’s doing on the distribution of the Vaccine … He’s not doing well at all. He’s way behind schedule, and people are refusing to take the Vaccine because they don’t trust his Administration, they don’t trust the Election results and they certainly don’t trust the Fake News, which is refusing to tell the Truth,” Trump said.
Nearly 56% of people who lean Republican said they planned to or had already received the vaccine. The Washington Post and the rest of mainstream media, however, want to paint a picture linking Trump to anti-vaxxers, despite his positive view of vaccines.
No matter what people think regarding the shot itself, all Republicans agree that vaccines are a choice. The radical left doesn’t believe vaccines are a choice or that Trump had anything to do with them since the beginning of the pandemic. Even when Biden, himself, was questioning vaccines. Talk about fake news.
