A spokesperson for the National Football League (NFL) recently announced that unvaccinated players will be fined $14,650 if they violate the league’s coronavirus guidelines. The league confirmed that Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians was “right” when he said that a player would be worth $14,000 every time he isn’t wearing a mask or breaking protocol. He even clarified that it was “NFL policy.”

ESPN reporter Jenna Line said that the NFL contracts place a premium on proper PPE wearing and restrictions on the number and type of venues players can use for social or team-related purposes. While the league expects about 85% of their players to be fully vaccinated by the end of training camp, some players have expressed reluctance to the vaccine.

Buccaneers player Leonard Fournette was one of the players who decided against receiving a vaccine. Longtime NFL assistant Rick Dennison also parted ways with the Vikings after receiving the jab. Even Cardinals star receiver DeAndre Hopkins has questioned his future in the NFL since the league started threatening to punish the unvaccinated.

Coach Arians has made it clear that any unvaccinated players would have to follow the same rules and protocols that were instilled at last year’s camp. He said they’ve been fortunate enough to have good training staff and sports science staff to prevent injuries and illness throughout the season. But Coach Arians didn’t point out how different life would be for vaccinated and unvaccinated players.

A memo was sent out with updated COVID-19 protocols for the 2021 training camp and preseason. There were two categories: fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated. You’d think if the disease were that serious, they’d cancel the football season entirely.

Under the fully vaccinated category, individuals did not have to endure daily testing, wear a mask at the club facility and during team travel, no physical distancing, no quarantine, no travel restrictions, no capacity limit, can eat in the cafeteria, no restrictions on social media sponsorship activities can use the steam room, and can interact with vaccinated family and friends during team travel.


The rules were the complete opposite for those who chose not to get vaccinated. They must endure daily testing, wear masks, physically distance, quarantine, have a 15 player limit in the weight room, grab-and-go meals, no social media sponsorship activities, no usage of the steam room, and cannot leave the team hotel to eat in restaurants or interact with anyone outside of the Team Traveling Party.

There were also several breakthroughs with how the NFL is treating the media. Fully vaccinated media will be able to conduct in-person interviews with athletes while unvaccinated media members aren’t even allowed in the press boxes, field, sidelines, or locker rooms.

The policies went so far as to threaten unvaccinated players and staff members with fines of a game check up to $50,000 for a first offense and more after for “violating protocol.” They reiterate that other members who don’t have a religious or medical exemption won’t be allowed for Tier 1 or Tier 2 status in the training camps to work with athletes in person.

The league states in another memo that any team responsible for a COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players or staff members will be forced to forfeit and be responsible for the financial losses of a canceled game. They said they would not add a 19th week to accommodate any rescheduled games within the regular 18-week season.

Requiring players to take an experimental vaccine is not the contract they agreed to sign. The woke mob is forcing a lot of NFL players, who are very large men with large hearts, to take a risk and get the jab. Some men have already reported heart inflammation and chest pains after receiving the vaccination. The cases have been seen mostly in male adolescents and young adults.

Let the lawsuits begin with the NFL. It’s going to be hard for them to know who the source of an outbreak is. The policies are unworkable, violate all player’s contracts, and are irrational in the way the country is headed today. While they may not be mandating the vaccine, they are forcing it on the players monetarily. It’s the same thing.
