Cuomo Got Inside Help From Time’s Up & Human Rights Organizations To Use Against His Accusers

The recently released New York Attorney General’s report on Gov. Andrew Cuomo is making headlines in more ways than one. Between getting help from Facebook staffers to strategies being implemented by his CNN host brother, Gov. Cuomo’s corruption runs deep – and it gets worse.

Included in the 165-page report is the insight that two co-founders of the women’s advocacy group Time’s Up had drafted a letter to help Cuomo undermine the credibility of his sexual harassment victims and their accusations.

The letter was specifically denying the allegations made by former Cuomo aide Lindsey Boylan with the help of Times Up legal defense fund founder Roberta Kaplan and CEO Tina Tchen. Boylan was the first to come forward and publicly announce allegations against Gov. Cuomo. Boylan had claimed that Cuomo sexually harassed her numerous times, commented on her appearance, and even tried to see if she would play a game of strip poker. She even publicly accused Cuomo of being “one of the biggest abusers of all time.”

But in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ report concludes that the two women helped try to undermine Boylan’s credibility and her accusations as a political motive. Cuomo’s top aide Melissa DeRosa testified that Cuomo first drafted the letter against Boylan by hand, but the governor testified that he doesn’t remember handwriting it. He said he only remembers participating in a draft of the letter.

The letter was originally intended for Boylan and to be published as an editorial, but DeRosa admits that the Cuomo administration was worried the letter would “backfire,” so they reached out to the Time’s Up founders for help. It’s ironic that the administration would reach out to a charity that raises money to help victims of sexual harassment for help on a letter against a sexual harassment victim. It’s worrying that they helped.

“[Kaplan and Tchen] allegedly suggested that, without the statements about Ms. Boylan’s interactions with male colleagues, the letter was fine,” the AG’s report reads.

According to the report, the piece was never published and it was largely approved by editorial to deny the “legitimacy of Ms. Boylan’s allegations, impugn her credibility, and attack her claims as politically motivated.”

This isn’t the first time the Time’s Up council members have had ties with the governor. Gov. Cuomo even gave Kaplan an inflated compliment in the Washington Post where he praised her for being “indispensable in the fight against the cancer of hate and division that Trump spent four years exacerbating.” This was in reference to Kaplan’s representation of E. Jean Carroll, the journalist who accused Trump of sexual assault.

Kaplan and Tchen weren’t even the only “social justice warriors” going after a sexual assault victim. Alphonso David, current president of the Human Rights Campaign, also went after Boylan. He was the former general counsel for Cuomo and even provided him with Boylan’s personnel files, which were leaked to the mainstream media. He also helped Cuomo’s administration secretly record another Cuomo accuser named Kaitlin.

While David and Time’s Up have called Cuomo to resign, it’s clear that they are just trying to save face in the public eye. These organizations are immoral from top to bottom and it’s just another way to get massive amounts of information on good people then use it against them.
