Biden Mandates Vaccines For Border Patrol Agents But Not Illegal Immigrants Passing Through

U.S Customs and Border Patrol agents were recently given an official announcement by the Biden Administration that they must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 1 or be fired. President Biden issued Executive Order 14043 regarding agents to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or face termination. The deadline was announced for the Department of Homeland Security as they continue to manage the ongoing crisis at the border. President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate couldn’t have come at a worse time and Border Patrol agents feel thrown under the bus by the White House.

House Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jim Jordan shared with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham that the illegal immigrants entering the U.S are being given the choice of whether or not they want to be vaccinated against COVID-19. He called it a major “double standard” for the Biden Administration to be targeting the heroic men and women of Border Patrol with experimental shots and threatening to fire them if they don’t get vaccinated.

Rep. Tom McClintock and Jordan wrote a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas regarding the mandate and said it was “unbelievable” for the Biden administration to allow COVID-positive aliens to cross the border while eliminating the dedicated law enforcement officers who do not comply with Biden’s jab. They went on to say that this will put an incredible strain on an already thinning-out workforce.

The mandates are on top of the Biden Administration criticizing how Border Patrol agents intercept migrants, even likening their tactics to the days of slavery. Pictures were posted of U.S Border Patrol agents on horsebacks turning back Haitian migrants attempting to enter an encampment on the banks of the Rio Grande. Democrats and mainstream media quickly spread lies that the agents were using whips against the migrants, which was later rebuked. Even the photographer who captured the images of the whips said they were misinterpreted.

“For years and through multiple administrations, it has been difficult to recruit and retain men and women to serve in U.S. Border Patrol. The locations of the job are typically remote and the job is often dangerous and hard. Their job is made even harder when senior officials, including Vice President Kamala Harris, spread false accusations of cruelty,” McClintock and Jordan wrote.

McClintock and Jordan add that President Biden’s failure to support federal law enforcement officials only makes the border crisis worse and our country less secure. They pointed out how U.S Border Patrol has encountered 1,263,295 illegal aliens along the border since January of this year, which has been the highest recorded amount in twenty years. Even though Biden tasked VP Kamala Harris with handling the border crisis, she has refused to address what is happening and has created an even more unstable and unsustainable humanitarian crisis.

Other states have even sent their own National Guard troops to help secure parts of the border as Biden has intended that he does not plan on securing the country anytime soon. It’s clear by the double standards of the vaccine mandate that it has nothing to do with the virus or public health and everything to do with the policies they want to put in place. The vaccine mandates are letting the Biden Administration fire private citizens and bring in their own federal agents to do the work, which purges out anyone from the Democratic narrative. But most of us already knew that.
