California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder has been handling the mainstream media and his critics like a champ. Elder, a Black Republican, has been criticized and attacked by a streamline of politicians and celebrities including Vice President Kamala Harris, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Alec Baldwin, Ron Perlman, Josh Gad, and Rosanna Arquette. At this point, all of the unhinged celebrities and politicians know that Elder will make a great governor with a chance to bring California back. That’s why left-wing elites and celebrities are helping Newsom lead the smear efforts against Elder and the GOP. They are also ensuring that Newsom’s pockets are
When asked by Fox News’ Howard Kurtz why the press has been so tough on him, Elder replied that the press often serves as PR for the Democrat Party and nothing else. He said if people see it can be done in California, then it can be done all over the country. He adds that people are scared to death of the recall and breaking the stranglehold that the Democrats have on California’s Black and Brown voters.
Others such as actress Rosanna Arquette have tried to warn people that “our lives literally do depend” on voting no on the recall. Comedian Billy Eichner called Elder “anti-vaxx” and tried to tell Twitter users that he would remove vaccine and mask mandates as governor. Elder has publicly stated that he is opposed to vaccine mandates, but that he is vaccinated.
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad called the recall a “catastrophe” and Alec Baldwin warned people that Elder is a “dangerous idiot” who is “Trump level dangerous.” Elder remains the clear front-runner among the candidates in California and would make history as California’s first Black governor. The attacks have gotten so vicious that they have become downright racist.
State Sen. Sydney Kamlager was recently campaigning for Gov. Gavin Newsom at a get-out-the-vote event when she suggested that there’s a recall challenger who “thinks he might have an edge because of his color.” She went on to say that racism comes in all shapes and sizes and that they are “not stupid.”
California State University professor Melina Abdullah went on stage to campaign shortly after Kamlager and mentioned Elder’s name. She called Larry Elder the “Black face on White supremacy” and painted a picture of horrors regarding climate change, the workforce, and social justice if he were elected. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Elder has been called the Black face of White supremacy. At this point, white supremacy is anyone preaching personal responsibility. It seems to only be acceptable when a Democrat says it.
The event was hosted by African American Voter Registration and Education Project (AAVREP) with the governor and about bringing awareness to the Sept. 14 recall election. On that day, Californians will get to decide whether to recall the governor with one of the 46 candidates or keep him in office.
Elder has responded to the attacks that the mainstream media, along with every other Democrat, is “scared to death” of having him as a governor. He’s even had to deny false claims about brandishing a gun during an argument with his former fiancé.
Elder is about small government, fewer regulations, free market, and personal responsibility. The people of California know he could pull their state out of the swamp and offer citizens the education, work, and opportunities they’ve been denied by Newsom. He believes in equal opportunity and letting the people be free to make their own medical decisions. It’s always ironic how Democrats use racist remarks when it suits them best. We all know which party is truly racist.
