Florida’s Job Growth Surpasses The National Rate

Many states have been fighting against President Joe Biden and his tyrannical vaccine mandates. Biden made the announcements last month that companies with over 100 employees are expected to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. He warned employees to get the jab or get fired. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, however, has made it clear that these invasive policies won’t be implemented and that they will likely lose in court.

“No one should lose their job over these shots. I think we want to protect people’s jobs. These are folks that have been working throughout this whole time, they were put in situations where they were exposing themselves to risk knowingly to help others, and we did that, and we considered them heroes just a year ago. Now, you’re gonna let them go by the wayside?” DeSantis asked.

Many conservative state leaders have said that they will not be forcing the vaccine onto the public through employers, adding that it only makes the labor shortage worse. Many critics have accused the Biden administration of using unemployment benefits and the fear of the pandemic to keep people at home. While some states are struggling to get people back into the workforce, Florida’s job growth has nearly tripled the national rate.

Gov. DeSantis made a recent announcement that during the time of “economic uncertainty,” Florida managed to add over 84,000 new jobs to the state. He notes how it is a “big chunk” of the reported national numbers in September, adding that he will continue to provide an environment where people can work, live, and thrive for themselves and their families.

Florida has added over one million jobs since April 2020, with an unemployment rate currently sitting at 4.9%. He said there are some challenges with fighting things at the national level, but that his administration would work to continue to fight hard and make Florida a great place.

The Labor Department reported at the beginning of October that the U.S economy added about 194,000 jobs in September and that the unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percent to 4.8. This is even worse than the report from August and surprised experts as they predicted about 500,000 jobs created for September. The August report states that only 235,000 jobs were added in August, which was considered a “sluggish pace” by job experts.

The Jobs Creator Network even slammed President Biden for the numbers, adding that his “failed policies” are wrecking small businesses nationwide, particularly those in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Even with the termination of Biden’s “overly generous” unemployment benefits, he has failed to stimulate any job growth. He has only pushed higher taxes, vaccine mandates, and record spending triggering rapid inflation.

President and CEO of the Jobs Creator Network, Alfredo Ortiz, even accused President Biden of starting a war on small businesses.

DeSantis emphasizes how 72,500 of the 84,000 jobs created in Florida are private-sector jobs and have added about 50,000 workers over the last month. He noted how this represents a 5.4% increase over the year for the state of Florida, which is significantly higher than the national rate of 0.8%.

DeSantis has continued to hold Florida as a state for both economic growth and medical freedom. Other red states are also recovering at rapid rates with low taxes and no vaccine mandates. People from blue states are moving to Texas and Florida at record rates – and for good reason.
