President Joe Biden had made a series of gaffes throughout his career but it’s clear that things are taking a turn for the worse. He was recently in Chicago taking a tour at the Clayco Construction site in Elk Grove Village when he seemingly stammered and forgot how to speak.
“The Ohio Pennsylvania, the Ohio Pennsylvania, I’m from Pennsylvania. The Illinois president,” Biden said as he gestured to himself.
He rambled on for 30 seconds about the confusing rhetoric before completely forgetting what he was talking about and freezing mid-sentence. He gave another press conference later in the week and seemed to stammer in mispronouncing the name of the Executive Director of the Port of Long Beach Mario Cordero.
“I’m joined by the executive directors of the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Gene Seroka and Merrier… Mario Cardona. I apologize, Mario,” Biden said.
Biden has also seemed to forget the name of his own special envoy for ports John Porcari, who is attempting to address the supply chain problems. In the span of six seconds, Biden called Porcari by the wrong first name twice. “I especially want to thank Joe Porcari, and I think Joe’s done one heck of a job,” Biden said.
While some said that Joe and John can be easy to confuse, others say that it is just another problem with Biden’s crippling mental health. The worst part is that Porcari’s performance has been just as botched as Joe pronouncing his name. There is still a backlog of about 100 cargo ships that have been in Los Angeles for over a month now, with the Biden Administration announcing that they would prolong work hours to get the job done. Some White House officials have warned that there will be some things people can’t get this holiday season.
Even some of Biden’s closest officials know he isn’t all there. Special Climate Envoy John Kerry pointed out during an interview with French TV hosts that President Joe Biden “had no clue” that France would be upset over not being included in the submarine deal between the United States and Australia. Others have pointed out that this gives more insight into how unaware President Biden really is. The French ambassadors were so upset over the defense agreement that they even recalled its U.S ambassador and canceled the grand gala.
President Joe Biden never misses out on an opportunity to make his mental health a cause for concern. While many people pushed for former president Donald Trump to take a cognitive test in the office, the media has not been pushing the same request for Biden. Between stumbling on his words and mispronouncing names, Biden is a handful to listen to. And this is supposed to be the man who leads the country out of the many crises we are in at the moment.
