Biden Says He Agrees With GOP Governors

President Biden spoke with governors and said that he agreed with two GOP executives that there is no single solution to COVID-19. His administration is pushing federal solutions for the pandemic, which is nearly two years old.
Biden made the comment following Arkansas Republican Governor. Asa Hutchinson is the chairperson of the National Governors Association and warned Biden against taking actions that could put states at risk as they fight the virus.

Hutchinson stated, “One word of concern for your team is that while you look toward federal solutions that will alleviate the problem, make sure we don’t let federal solutions stand in our way of state solutions.” The federal government will distribute 500 million rapid tests. However, this is a significant step in the supply chain that could lead to solutions for governors.

“I’m looking at [New Hampshire] Governor. [Chris] Sununu is on the board. Biden stated that he talks about this a lot. “Ultimately, it comes down to the rubber meeting the road. That’s where the patient needs help or where they can prevent the need.

Biden has placed the federal government at the center of pandemic mitigation efforts. For banning school masks, the Education Department opened civil rights investigations into several states. His administration increased penalties for those who do not comply with the president’s mandate to wear masks on planes, public transport, and airports. The administration is now going to the Supreme Court in defense of its vaccine mandate for private businesses that have more than 100 employees.

During Monday’s call, the president expressed confidence in the United States’ ability to deal with the omicron variant. He stated that while it was a concern, it shouldn’t be a cause for panic.

“This is not March 2020, the start of the pandemic. Biden said that we are prepared and know what it takes for people to be safe, protect and maintain schools and businesses. “My message to governors is simple. “If you have a need, speak up.”
