CNN Producer, Former Chris Cuomo Staffer Arrested For Allegedly Inducing Minors For Sex

Published on

CNN recently fired one of its employees, John Griffin, after a federal indictment accused him of forcing parents to make their daughters have sex in his home. John Griffin, according to his LinkedIn profile, is a senior producer at CNN’s flagship morning show “New Day” and was charged by a grand jury in Vermont. He was charged with “three counts of using an interstate commerce facility to try to entice minors into unlawful sexual activity.”

Griffin used the messaging apps Kik and Google Hangouts from April to July 2020 to communicate with people claiming to be parents of minor girls. He also conveyed to them that a “woman is a girl regardless of her age” and that women should be subservient to men. Griffin tried to convince parents through these communication platforms that he could train his daughters to be sexually submissive. Griffin advised a mother with nine- and thirteen-year-old girls that it was her responsibility to ensure that her older daughter was properly trained.

Griffin later transferred $3K to the mother to purchase plane tickets, so that the mother and her nine-year-old daughter could fly to Boston from Nevada. Griffin drove the mother and child to his Ludlow home Ludlow in July 2020. The statement stated that the daughter was instructed to engage in, and did indulge in, illegal sexual activity at the house.

The 44-year old CNN staffer “attempted two other children to engage in sexual activities over the internet” and in April 2020, “proposed to engage a virtual training session’ over video chat. Griffin also “proposed to a pretended mother of a 16-year-old daughter that she take a “little mother-daughter vacation” to Griffin’s Ludlow ski home for sexual training involving her child in June 2020.

Griffin’s verified Twitter account also states that he is “Writer Father Tech Head”. Since 2013, the accused pedophile worked for CNN. Griffin’s tenure at CNN’s “New Day,” as a senior producer, coincides partially with Chris Cuomo’s tenure on the morning program as an anchor before taking over “Cuomo Primetime.”

The CNN producer was indicted less than one week after Chris Cuomo, the network’s primetime star was fired. This happened after another sexual misconduct allegation against Cuomo over alleged behavior at another network. He denied the allegations. Cuomo was first accused by Shelley Ross in September, a veteran TV producer who claimed that he grabbed her buttock during a 2005 function at ABC News.

Cuomo was already suspended after the shocking revelations made by the New York Attorney General’s probe into his brother. These revelations revealed that Cuomo was more involved in the governor’s affairs than previously thought. Documents show that Cuomo used his media sources to get information about his brother’s accusers.
