One Year Ago, Joe Biden Said He Wouldn’t Demand Mandatory Vaccines

One year ago, President-elect Joe Biden said that he would not demand mandatory coronavirus vaccinations for American citizens. This promise has been broken and he is now trying to force millions of American workers into getting the vaccine against their will.

After a reporter asked Biden if the coronavirus vaccine should become mandatory, Biden stated that he wouldn’t insist on it being mandatory.

This position was maintained by the White House as recently as July. Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, stated explicitly that vaccine mandates were not the responsibility of the federal government. She said that the question here is that that’s not a role for the federal government; it is the role that institutions and private-sector entities may play.

Psaki said it is absolutely appropriate that local communities take the necessary steps to protect their residents. CDC director Rochelle Walensky also denied federal mandates that month. Even Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is well-known for his flip-flopping on coronavirus-related topics, has denied the possibility of a federal mandate more than a dozen times since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Fauci stated that it’s not a secret that we shouldn’t have mandates from the federal government. He also stated that a mandate was not something he saw on a national scale because of the many situations it placed upon people. He said it encroaches upon their freedom to make their own decision.

Fauci now states that individuals must put aside their individual liberty for a federal mandate. These positions were changed after Biden’s September speech, where he criticized unvaccinated Americans who refused to get the shot. He said they have been patient but that the patience is wearing thin. He said that their refusal has cost us all and reprimanded unvaccinated Americans while arguing that the decision was not about freedom or personal choice.

During his speech, Biden announced that he would direct the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to create a rule requiring private companies with more than 100 employees to mandate the vaccination or to implement weekly testing requirements.

OSHA published the rule months later, with the Fifth Circuit granting a motion for OSHA to stop its emergency rule. This ordered the federal agency to take no further steps until the next court order.

OSHA suspended all activities related to the enforcement and implementation of the ETS while it remains confident in its ability to protect workers in emergency situations. A federal judge granted a preliminary order against the administration’s vaccine mandate.

There was a survey released showing that 57% of voters don’t believe the federal government is authorized to order coronavirus vaccinations.

Biden has continued to ignore the concerns of Americans against the vaccine, suggesting they are being unpatriotic.He said that it was all about “life and death”, adding that it was about being patriotic and doing the right things.
