Republican Arkansas Governor. Asa Hutchinson declared Saturday, that Donald Trump was not the right person to lead the party in the 2024 presidential election. Hutchinson, the chairman of the National Governors Association (NGA), stated to Business Insider that he does not believe Trump deserves another chance at the presidency.

Hutchinson stated that Trump was not the right person to lead our party or our country again as president.

He said, “I have made it clear: It is about the future.” “It’s about the future, it’s not about past elections.”

Hutchinson replied, “That’s what the election is all about,” Insider reported.

He said, “And, you all know, there are many voices in the Republican Party.” “And it’s essential in this time to hear those voices, and they should be focusing on this election cycle.”

Hutchinson’s remarks come after a video of Trump declaring himself to be “the 45th or the 47th” president while playing golf.

Trump spoke at Saturday’s Save America rally in Conroe Texas. He talked about his presidential authority and how he could pardon those who participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot.

Texas’ Gov. Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and Sid Miller, Agriculture Commissioner, spoke at the event.
