Friday night, President Joe Biden traveled to the beach from Washington DC in preparation for his trip to Europe next Wednesday. The president spent the weekend at his Delaware beach house, Rehoboth Beach. After spending the weekend there in December with Jill Biden, the president will be making his first trip to the beach this year in 2022.

Biden spent the week calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal”, a “thug,” and pledged to support Ukraine in their struggle for freedom.

Biden stated that the “appalling events” in Ukraine reminded him of the importance of democracy and freedom. He spoke at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration held at the White House on Thursday. “Each generation must stand up for their rights and defend them.”

The president failed to recruit Xi Jinping, the Chinese dictator, to his efforts to press Russia economically until their offensive in Ukraine was abandoned.

Biden’s weekend at the beach during Spring Break prevents him from traveling to Europe next week to see the leaders of the NATO Alliance.

In 2017, the Bidens bought their beach house for $2.74million. They recently planned to install a $455,000-government-funded fence on the property for security purposes.
