JK Rowling issued a strong warning to politicians Saturday. She stated that women are outraged by the threats to their safety and rights made by radical transgender lobbyists. Rowling warned British politicians that they will not be able to intimidate or threaten women in Britain to speak out publicly about their rights.
Harry Potter author, Harry Potter, tweeted that women were left “outraged” and angry at the lack of attention to their “well-founded concerns” about radical transgender policies. This includes the push to allow biological men to identify as women and have access to women-only-spaces like female changing rooms.
Sir Keir Starmer was once a hero of British left and he went on to accuse him of “publicly misleading equalities law” in another sign that the Labour Party is no longer able to be relied upon to protect women’s rights.
This accusation is made after Sir Keir (a former chief prosecutor) insisted that “trans women were women” on Friday. He claimed this was enshrined under the 2004 Gender Recognition Act, and the 2010 Equality Act, and was “the law of the United Kingdom” — something Rowling disagrees with.
The children’s author, a trans-exclusionary radical feminist (TERF) alleged, also claimed that women are organizing across party lines and that their anger and resolve are increasing.
Rowling said that she was motivated to speak out about this topic by the “innumerable homosexual people” who contacted her. She explained that lesbians, especially, are being attacked for not wanting to be defined and refusing to use ideologic language that they find offensive.
Rowling made the bold statement in response to Lisa Townsend’s election as the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey. She had supported Rowling’s tweet that said transgender rapists were not female.
The original tweet by the author mocked Scottish police for allowing a biologically male rapper with a penis, to identify himself as female. Rowling responded to the news with a reference to George Orwell’s 1984 dystopian novel.

Townsend refers to this tweet which prompted three men to report her to Surrey Council.
It’s not a niche issue. There’s no need for women to protest it. We won’t accept the gaslighting by men who tell us they are women or those who allow it. #IStandWithJKRowling”, Townsend had said.
Crispin Blunt, a local Conservative MP and chairman of the all party parliamentary group on LGBT+ Rights, was one of the complainants. He told Surrey Council that he believed Townsend (also of the Conservative Party) had “propagate[d] dangerous myths”.
Townsend stated that it was absurd for a middle-aged male MP to try and stop him speaking out for women’s rights after the verdict.
If you are a man who likes to wear clothes, you can grow your hair longer and wear makeup. It’s okay to do it. But that doesn’t make you a woman. It’s something I have said before, and it will continue to be repeated. Townsend insists that this is how an overwhelming majority of my constituents feel.”
