School Boards Use a Leftist Playbook to Intimidate and Bully

Bridget Ziegler of the Conservative Sarasota County School Board, who has been fighting the left’s monopoly in education for many years, said Saturday to Breitbart News that all school boards follow a “playbook,” which only furthers their monopoly. She encouraged parents to speak out, stating that they were “on the right side” of history.

Ziegler is a private sector worker and has been on the Sarasota County Schools Board for eight years. This is something she never imagined she would do. She also didn’t consider running for public office. However, she stated that she was passionate about children’s issues. Her husband encouraged her to run for the office when a vacancy appeared on the school board in 2014.

The mother of three stated, “When I stepped onto that ledge, you’ll know, I went full throttle,”

Surprised, she found that many of the “common-sense” issues she ran on were “taboo,” including parental right and limited government. The teachers’ union was “bombay” as a result. She said that she saw more of her eyes at a National School Board Association meeting where speakers criticized the governor, the legislature and programs “which we, conservatives, were very vocal about supporting.” It didn’t make sense.

Ziegler stated that it was important to emphasize that there is a playbook. And, what I believe so many people now realize, as a result of the great parent awakening following COVID, that the same playbook that occurs in Sarasota County also happens across the state, and across the country. It’s largely about indoctrinating local officials, down to professional development [given] by educators, and that trickles down into indoctrinating students with a very left-leaning, progressive agenda.”

She explained that the left’s strategies to push forward this agenda include intimidation and silence. Parents are finally waking up to the reality of what is happening.
