Elon Musk Says Twitter May See Slight Cost For Commercial/Government Users

Although companies and government accounts will need to pay a small fee to continue using Twitter, casual users will be able to use the service for free. Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, tweeted Tuesday evening.

This tweet was in response a cryptic message he sent earlier in the day that stated “The downfall for Freemasons was giving away their stonecutting services with no compensation.” ”

Musk offered a variety of ideas to banks in order to assist him in his $44 million acquisition Twitter. These included the monetization of viral tweets and reducing the salaries for board members.

Twitter launched Twitter Blue, a premium subscription service that costs $2.99 per month. Musk, however, suggested in a deleted Tweet last month that he would prefer to lower the price.

Musk will use his creativity to find a way for Twitter to be monetized once it is taken private. Musk made it clear, however, that his main motivation for purchasing the social media platform was to make it less restrictive.
