Karine Jean-Pierre is the White House’s new press secretary. She will replace Jen Psaki at week’s end. Jean-Pierre has a history spreading disinformation and false claims about elections being stolen, even though Republicans won them.

Jean-Pierre specifically denied that President Donald Trump was legitimate following his 2016 win and made false claims that Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams had been the winner of the 2018 Georgia governor’s election.

The Biden administration has been focusing on “disinformation” regarding elections. They have appointed a “Disinformation Governance board” within the Department of Homeland Security. Nina Jankowicz is the head of the board. She also spread conspiracy theories about 2016 and denied that Hunter Biden used a laptop to vote in 2020.
