Project Veritas, James O’Keefe’s investigative outlet reported Wednesday that Project Veritas had learned from a source at the Federal Bureau of Investigation that the agency was targeting the “news media,” which includes Project Veritas.
A video appears to show a conversation with an FBI whistleblower. The “special agent” told O’Keefe, whose identity was not revealed, that Project Veritas “seems to be a victim to political undertakings” related to a raid last January.
The FBI raided O’Keefe’s house last November 7 in an apparent search for clues related to the theft of Ashley Biden’s diary. Project Veritas claimed to have obtained the diary legally during the 2020 election. However, they opted to turn it over to law enforcement instead of publishing its contents. O’Keefe’s phone was searched by the FBI.
Project Veritas claims that the FBI whistleblower and the redacted document that he provided appear to indicate that the outlet was under “news media” investigation. Cell phone location data was used in the inquiry.
In the video, the whistleblower says that his goal was to promote “a nonpartisan law enforcement organization.”
