Friday’s Department of Justice continued to ignore a federal statute that prohibits protests from being held outside of the homes of judges.
18 U.S. Code SS 1507 makes it illegal to try to influence a judge’s decision or interfere with their discharge of duty by holding pickets and parades in the vicinity of any judge-occupied building.
The Department of Justice is responsible for protecting the justices of Supreme Court.
A group of protesters shouted “F*ck the court, the legislature” outside Clarence Thomas’s home on Friday night. “We aren’t your incubators!”
A group of pro-abortion protesters shouted “Liar Liar Pants On Fire!” outside the residence of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Senate Republicans expressed concern about the security and integrity of justices following the publication online of their addresses by abortion activists.
Fears of more violence were only heightened by the arrest of an armed man outside Justice Kavanaugh’s house earlier in the month.
Local news reports indicated that Kavanaugh’s Chevy Chase home was more crowded than usual, but this did not stop the few protesters.
Pro-abortion activists demonstrated outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett earlier in the week before the announcement.
The Supreme Court and the surrounding areas of Washington, DC were the focal point for most of the pro-abortion demonstrations that took place Friday night.
