Whistleblowers claim the FBI leadership prohibited agents from investigating Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 election.
Because they knew the FBI wouldn’t alter the outcome, Hunter’s FBI investigation was delayed. Senator John McCain made the statements of whistleblowers known to Inspector General Michael Horowitz (Justice Department), Wednesday.
According to the letter, whistleblowers claimed that the FBI didn’t want to investigate the laptop as it was afraid the public would reveal information that could alter the outcome of 2020 elections.
The whistleblowers stated that FBI officials stole the Hunter Biden laptop from a Wilmington computer shop. The whistleblowers also claimed that FBI leadership told local employees they wouldn’t be looking at the laptop, and they weren’t going to alter the election outcome.
Johnson stated that Hunter was not trustworthy by the FBI to inspect his laptop. Johnson suggested that Hunter’s delay in investigating the contents should be investigated.
The FBI’s decision to “undermine” an FBI investigation into Hunter’s laptop could have influenced establishment media’s decision not to use Hunter’s laptop to disinformation during elections.
15 media figures claimed that Hunter’s laptop email messages were likely Russian disinformation. Many media outlets also discredited Politico’s famous article on 51 intelligence officers believing that Hunter’s laptop messages were Russian propaganda. Politico reported that the intel letter suggested otherwise.
