Biden White House Slammed By Liberal Journalists For Denying Access To Wedding, Called Liars

Liberal journalists have criticized the Biden administration for denying them press access to the White House wedding.

White House press staff members claim that they were denied coverage of Naomi Biden’s and Peter Neal’s wedding and that they were told it was private. Vogue, however, revealed via a special digital issue that it had been granted exclusive access to the wedding and took photos days before the actual event.

Katie Rogers, Bloomberg White House correspondent, reacted to Vogue’s revelation by citing a Nov. 18, quote from Karine Jeanne Pierre, White House press secretary. She stated that the wedding would be private and family-oriented.

Jean-Pierre was also tagged by her, and she snarkily implied that her definitions of “private” meant that it was not open to the White House press corps.

Fox News asked for comment. A spokesperson from the White House cited the Vogue article, pointing out that the photo shoot was on the Thursday prior to the wedding and not the actual Saturday.

Vogue reported that Bryan Rafanelli, an event planner who is no stranger to first-family nuptials, oversaw Marc Mezvinsky and Chelsea Clinton’s Rhinebeck, New York wedding in 2010. The couple worked with him to incorporate details from their historical setting into the invitation design.

Soon thereafter, other journalists joined the conversation and also criticized the White House’s careful wording regarding press access to wedding ceremonies.

“I covered the Trump WH for four years and the Biden WH for two years. It’s amazing to see that they lie in very different ways. “Trump team was shameless, while Biden team is way too cute by half,” Ashley Parker, Washington Post reporter, tweeted.

Liberal commentators criticized her for comparing lies between Trump’s White House and Biden’s. Many users also accused her of being sympathetic towards the former commander-in-chief.

Parker responded to Parker’s tweets by clarifying her comments. She stated that, while not all lies can be “created equal”, the Biden administration had allegedly abrogated reporters from reporting correct information on Biden’s Supreme Court selection, his trip in Egypt, and the attendees at several private meetings.

Maggie Haberman, New York Times, also criticized the Biden White House for the fib. She wrote, “We cover small lies politicians tell so they can give rise to larger ones, for people wondering why this is news.” This is what the press should do.

Other members of the White House Press Corps also voiced their disapproval at the White House’s handling the situation.
