CDC Withheld Data on Fatal Reaction to COVID Vaccine From Post-Vax Surveys for Nearly Two Years

The shocking report by the Centers for Disease Control that it withheld data on a potentially fatal complication of COVID-19 vaccines until it was forced to release the data under court order has shocked many people.

Just the News reported that data released by court order showed that 1 in 3 of the earliest vaccine recipients needed medical attention, missed school or worked, or was unable “to perform normal daily activities.” The CDC continued to fight for the privacy of the data.

Nearly 8% of the 10 million plus users of the agency’s v-safe active surveillance smartphone app through July — almost 8.5 million who signed up between April 2020 and December 2020, before all adults were eligible to receive COVID vaccines — stated that they needed medical attention after receiving the vaccines.

Nearly 3 out of 4 patients aged 3 and over who needed such care couldn’t rely upon telehealth visits. They needed urgent care (48%), an emergency room (15%), or hospitalization (10%).

Hospitalizations for infants who received the jabs in summer were lower (2%) than those who had to be hospitalized, but they still required urgent care (66%).

The V-Safe active monitoring smartphone application allows users to share their post-vax experiences quickly with the CDC. V-safe provides personalized health check-ins using text messaging and web surveys after users have received a COVID-19 vaccine.

The V-Safe app was a hit from the beginning. More than 10 million symptom reports were filed every month between January and April 2021. This dropped to 5 million in May, before hovering at 1 million the following months. After Biden’s (unconstitutional), vaccine mandates for approximately 100 million workers in October, the reports rose above 2 million once again. They then dropped to the low-to-mid-hundred-thousand mark from January through July 2022.

Why? Because the overwhelming majority of Americans have grown tired of the COVID scare perpetuated by Biden, the Democrat Party, and left-wing media puppets. Simply put, the COVID fearmongering of Joe “Winter” Biden has made tens of millions more Americans sick and tired.

The Informed Consent Action Network has posted the v-safe data so far as interactive graphs and many gigabytes worth of files. They were able to get through ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation against the CDC.

Those are the only data that the CDC affirmatively sought via checkboxes on V-Safe surveys. These are sent to users weekly for the first week following each dose and then every other week for six, three, 6, and twelve months.

JTN pointed out that it took a year to obtain “five Excel files, which probably took the CDC minutes to download and produce,” ICAN stated in its Nov. 4 joint status report.

Here’s the problem: The survey checkboxes do not contain any information about chest pain or other symptoms that could indicate myocarditis or pericarditis. Without these, it is harder to standardize input data.

What’s the problem?

To count their cardiac symptoms, V-safe users will need to spend time filling out the survey’s “other” field. It can only be 250 characters long. Aaron Siri, ICAN’s lawyer, said that ICAN is still trying to force the CDC to hand over the data from its “free-text” field.

Siri stated that the fact that the app did not prompt users to consider life-threatening conditions it had identified in an earlier v-safe protocol was “one of the most compelling pieces of evidence supporting premeditated [wrongful] behavior.” He said in the second of what he claimed would be at minimum a 12-part series on the disclosures.

What was the CDC’s response?

In a court filing, the CDC stated that it would be premature and inefficient for the court to “examine the legality of CDC’s withholdings in a piecemeal manner,” as ICAN requests. The CDC maintained that the records in question here were not reasonably “segregable,” which ICAN called “frivolous.”

Conclusion:

Perhaps it’s me, but I find the CDC’s stubborn resistance to turning over vital, potentially life-saving data to be similar to the Democrat Party’s ongoing meltdown over Elon Musk’s restoration of freedom speech on Twitter. It’s amazing, just think about it.

As I have written many times before, the greatest fear and threat to the left is freedom of speech. In this case, it would be the release of any data and information that goes against the Democrats’ ongoing efforts to censor “misinformation.” This includes the Democrats’ continued attempts to censor anything that directly contradicts their narrative, including the politicization and politicization of the “pandemic.”
