Republicans are mocking a list of President Biden’s accomplishments that the White House claimed could be used to talk points with Uncle Thanksgiving.
According to Fox News Digital, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), “Using White House talking points in an attempt to gaslight your family about the realities of this Administration seems like a miserable and unhappy way to spend Thanksgiving.”
Jennifer Molina, White House deputy communications director, tweeted President Biden’s accomplishments Wednesday morning, adding, “Bring receipts to the Thanksgiving Dinner!”
Biden’s achievements included “10,000,000 jobs created” as well as “no tax on people earning more than $400,000 – he kept his word.”
According to the list, “Gas prices have fallen by $1.35/gallon from June and inflation has moderated.”
It added, “Meanwhile the Republicans in Congress are extremist.” “Proposing to ban abortion nationally, planning to cut Medicare and Social Security [and] trying increase costs by repealing The Inflation Reduction Act.”
The Republicans National Committee pointed out the claim about gas prices on Twitter.
Biden’s repeated claims that the American Rescue Plan would create 10 million jobs have been repeatedly questioned. This is despite the fact that 8 million of these claims are exaggerated, and it leaves out the unique economic circumstances created by the COVID-19 epidemic. Biden has not increased the tax rate on those earning less than $400,000; however, economists often blame the American Rescue Plan, which is sometimes called a hidden tax for all Americans. While gas prices have fallen to $3.58 since June, they are still about $1.20 higher than when Biden took office.
According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings will cost 20% more this year than last.
Norman stated that Biden’s list was out of touch with reality.
Rep. Marsha BLACKBURN, R-Tenn. said to Fox News Digital that it is not the right time for Biden’s victory lap.
