Disney World Announces Ticket Price Hike, More Changes

Published on

Walt Disney World raised the cost of admission tickets to its Florida parks. Customers could pay up to $200, depending on the day.

One-day tickets to one park will cost between $109 and $189.

In 2018, “The Most Magical Place On Earth” introduced variable date pricing. The price of your ticket depends on the time you visit and how many tickets you have.

Disney will now offer variable prices. These prices can be based on the date or by the park.

Magic Kingdom is the most expensive park, as it is the most visited and popular of all the parks.

In terms of pricing, Epcot has been in the middle tier with Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

Animal Kingdom will continue to be the most affordable park. Its price range of $109-$159 per-day for single-park tickets will not change.

The new prices for each park are listed below:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $109 – $159
Disney’s Hollywood Studios – $124 – $179
EPCOT: $114-$179
Magic Kingdom Park: $124-$189
Disney stated the $189 price was only valid for nine days during the week-end of Christmas and New Years at Magic Kingdom.

Disney spokeswoman said that they are continuing to strive to make guests’ Disney experiences memorable. 1-day tickets automatically include a reservation for the park. We offer many options throughout the year, including our $109 lowest-priced tickets, which haven’t changed for over four years.

The new pricing model for park tickets is in effect starting Thursday.

Disney has also updated the prices for its Park Hopper Plus, Park Hopper Plus options. Prices will now be determined by demand and dates and not fixed costs such as ticketing.

The Park Hopper Plus add on costs $65 and $85, respectively. Disney has not yet released updated prices.

Disney also raised the cost of annual passes. They will go up between $43-100.

Disney currently offers four passes to Walt Disney World’s parks: Pixie, Sorcerer and Incredi Pass.

The Pixie Pass is only available to Florida residents. It can be used for weekday visits.

Incredi-Pass: $1,399 ($100 increase)
Sorcerer: $969 ($70 increase)
Pirate: $749 ($50 increase)
Pixie: $399 (no change)

Many Disney-fanatics are upset that Disney stopped selling annual passes to the Incredi-Pass and Sorcerer. Disney released an apology saying that they were still focused on current pass holders because they have some of the highest renewal rates.

This is the second price increase that Disney World visitors have seen since 2022. The first price increase was in February.

Disney is increasing the cost of tickets as well as making changes to its park passes and dining reservations systems.

Admission tickets were $3.50 in 1971 when the park was opened. In 2031, a Koala online study that connects timeshare rental customers with travelers found that a Disney guest ticket would cost $253.20.
