Elon Musk Says He’ll Reveal What Really Happened With Twitter Suppression Of Hunter Biden Story

Elon Musk, Twitter’s owner, teased that “what really happened to the Hunter Biden story and its suppression in 2020 by the social media giant” would be revealed on Friday afternoon.

“What actually happened to the Hunter Biden story suppression via Twitter will be published on Twitter @5pm ET!” In a tweet that quickly went viral, he wrote the following:

He said that he would need 40 minutes more to double-check certain facts.

Musk has pledged to increase transparency in Twitter since his official takeover in October. This includes shedding light on the reasons why the company took the unusual step of blocking and limiting the sharing of the New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020, weeks prior to his father’s election as president.

Musk stated last month that it was essential to reveal what happened in Big Tech’s suppression of the story. This would restore public trust. Musk has expressed concern about Twitter’s censorship of the New York Post. He called it “inappropriate” in April.

Twitter locked the tabloid from its Twitter account because of the story. It claimed that it was because it had violated its “hacked material” policy. Multiple top Twitter executives, including Jack Dorsey, the former CEO, and Yoel Roth (ex-safety chief), have admitted that the company made mistakes.

The Post’s report at the time revealed the younger Biden’s overseas business dealings. It also revealed an email in which a Ukrainian businessman thanked him for giving him a meeting, possibly with Vice President Joe Biden.

Liberal media outlets dismissed the laptop as Russian disinformation and a hoax. However, many mainstream media outlets have since authenticated the laptop. It is also being used in federal investigations into Hunter Biden’s business and tax dealings.
