After Hurricane Elon, Yoel Roth resigned as Twitter’s Head of Trust and Safety. He did something very few people in Big Tech can do: he admitted to their censorious actions regarding the 2020 presidential election.
Roth finally admitted that Twitter should censor Hunter Biden’s laptop story in October 2020 to Kara Swisher (the tech journalist). According to the New York Post, journalists who broke the laptop story received a one-week suspension from Twitter.

Roth responded to the laptop story by saying that he didn’t believe what he believed. He also said that he didn’t know the truth. There was smoke. But for me, it never reached a point where it was comfortable to remove this content from Twitter. He and his coworkers, however, allowed it to be censored.
Roth wasn’t brave enough to take responsibility for the ending, and he didn’t name or shame anyone who was. When asked if it was a mistake, Roth replied that it was.
Roth may have chosen to face the laptop issue in order to avoid scrutiny when Elon Musk is exposed to be his ex-boss. Musk claims that he has evidence that Twitter conspired with him to suppress information to affect the outcome of the 2020 election. He will tell the truth.
Musk’s reaction to finding proof that Twitter was involved in election engineering was covered by my colleague. He wrote about the results.
Donald Trump lost the election to three states that had just tens of thousands of votes. While we don’t know the final outcome, it’s clear that there was a media onslaught for a week over the laptop.
Jonathan Turley’s latest column addressed the subject of the left’s coordinated campaign against Twitter. This now includes all allied forces of the anti-free speech movement: the government, corporations, Democratic politicians, media, and, celebrities.
The real question is why are the media, political, and business establishments stepping up their campaign against Congress members? This is especially true when Dems have the assurance of Senate power.
Democratic politicians enjoy an incredible degree of control over the political discourse for many years through social media.
Elon Musk believes that free speech and fair elections are a blessing for all who value them. He also recognizes the significance of this moment in history.
This is a battle for the future of civilization. If free speech is lost even in America, tyranny is all that lies ahead.

Elon Musk is a formidable foe and perhaps Yoel Roth recognizes this. In the end, did Roth give a hearty rebuke of Twitter’s election meddling? Not hardly, but it’s likely to be the closest thing social media platforms and their tech MAGA (Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon) brethren come to admitting they were propping up Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.
