Kevin McCarthy, the House Speaker (Republican from California), has kept some promises. To investigate the “weaponization” of the federal government against American citizens, he created a Select Committee.

The Democrats were furious. Rep. Adam Schiff (D.CA), who was a member of the House Minority Leader, lied about the purpose of the Committee and called it “Select Committee on Insurrection Protection.” Twitter Community Notes hilariously confirmed that lie. However, they don’t fear what the Committee might uncover and how it might affect them.

McCarthy has more to say about Democrats. McCarthy stated that he is open to all security footage from Jan. 6, Capitol Riot. All 14,000 hours.

McCarthy stated that she believed the public should be able to see this day. “I saw Nancy Pelosi making it a political issue. She did not allow minorities to appoint committees for the first time in history. It was impossible to pick and choose. He said that he was extremely “thoughtful” about the matter.

Rep.Matt Gaetz (R-FL) cheered McCarthy’s actions and said he was greatly encouraged by the direction in which they were all going.

He said that this was part of what McCarthy had instructed the Republican members to provide context, and not just moments focusing on the politicized Jan.6 Committee’s efforts to “inflame, further split our nation.” ”

Many base members were happy with McCarthy’s announcement since they have been pressing for it for some time.
