We have already reported that Ronna McDaniel was re-elected to the position of chair of the Republican National Committee. After months of a bitter battle with Harmeet Dhillon (an acclaimed GOP lawyer), McDaniel was finally elected to the chair of the Republican National Committee.
BREAKING: Ronna Romney McDaniel has been re-elected RNC Chair.

McDaniel is the longest-serving party chair in modern American history. What did she do that earned her this honor? She and her party lost in 2018, lost the 2020 election, and were severely underperforming in the 2022 election. It seems that being a constant loser is enough to get the blessing of the GOP party elite.
Why? Because the Republican Party hates you.
You serve two purposes as a GOP voter. Two, you provide party leadership with lots and lots of money for various schemes. And two, your vote gives them political power via election. You are an afterthought, and you are despised as a means to an end.
Before you think I am talking about the popular definitions of “establishment”, understand that these lines have blurred over time. Donald Trump claimed not to endorse any candidate in this race but he had his top advisers (including Susie Wiles), working behind the scenes for McDaniel. Guess who suddenly feels happy about the RNC’s results?

At this point, the RNC is a giant grift. The RNC exists to enrich a few people while ignoring the needs of the majority of voters. Trump gets special treatment for 2024. McDaniel gets to use Trump to fundraise and receives exorbitant bonuses for achieving certain goals. In return for their loyalty, the RNC members continue to receive money in their states.
The Republican Party has lost its ideological core. It does absolutely nothing and, most importantly, accomplishes absolutely nothing. As long as the money continues to roll in, winning elections is not an option. This is not a fight between “the establishment” and the conservative base. It is a fight between the conservative base and the entire GOP leadership class. This leadership class also includes many, many wings.
This is a sad reality that must be accepted by many people who still believe it’s 2015. It’s no longer possible to draw clear battle lines. It’s not enough to slam Mitch McConnell, who is deservedly so), and call it quits. The leadership of the national Republican Party has turned into an incestuous cabal made up of a variety of ideologues who all chase the almightly dollars, and they all deserve ridicule.
The GOP base lives in a world of accountability while the GOP leadership refuses to hold itself accountable. Unsustainable. https://t.co/9etybftgHo

No matter how many soundbites are made, you can’t “drain” the swamp by promoting it. This is a criticism of all Republicans, even the RNC members. They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. They seized the perfect chance to make a change and chose to ignore their GOP voters to keep the gravy train going.
But there is a way out. Stop giving them money and stop listening. They will only be in power as long you give it to them.
