Defendant on Trial for Gruesome Murder Attacks Her Attorney During Court Appearance

Green Bay, Wisconsin woman who allegedly killed her lover and dismembered his body, has now reportedly attacked her attorney.

Taylor Schabusiness (25 years old) was present in Brown County circuit court Tuesday because her lawyer requested a two-week delay to her murder trial. Although the trial was originally scheduled for March 6, Quinn Jolly informed Judge Thomas Walsh that he wanted to give more time for an expert witness to review it. According to reports, this expert witness could testify about Schabusiness’ mental capacity. The expert witness might be helpful in her defense as she has already pled not guilty.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Schabusiness didn’t seem to appreciate Jolly’s efforts for her. After Judge Walsh had granted the extension of the trial, Schabusiness lunged at Jolly with her fists and attacked him with her fists. Schabusiness had to be physically restrained by a deputy, so the courtroom could be cleared for the hearing to continue.

Schabusiness is already facing a number of horrendous accusations. According to reports, Schabusiness allegedly murdered Shad Thyrion (25-year-old) in an attack on her lover. This occurred a year ago, while they were involved in a meth-infused embrace. She allegedly strangled the victim with a chokehold and refused to let go, even after he turned purple, on February 23, 2022. She allegedly began to sexually abuse his body after discovering he was dead.

The criminal complaint said that she then started to dismember Thyrion’s body. She used a bread knife to cut Thyrion’s head and left a “male organ” and the rest in a bucket. Thyrion’s mother later discovered the bucket in Thyrion’s basement. Police also discovered at least one leg that Schabusiness allegedly borrowed from a roommate.

According to police, Schabusiness admitted to the grisly murder and said that she liked choking Tyrion. According to reports, Schabusiness also admitted to detectives that she intended to remove all the victim’s severed organs but that she became lazy and forgot to take out the bucket that contained his head. The complaint said that she even asked detectives if they knew what it was like for someone to love something so deeply that they kill it.

Schabusiness was charged with first-degree intentional murder, mutilation, and sexual assault of a corpse. Schabusiness was found competent to stand trial by a court-appointed physician last year. However, Schabusiness had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the past and had been receiving treatment for it since seventh grade.

Judge Walsh suggested that the trial be rescheduled for May 15. However, it is not clear if that suggestion was accepted. Jolly stated that Schabusiness had threatened to withdraw from the case after Schabusiness’s violent outburst. However, it is not clear if he actually filed the motion. Walsh didn’t rule on this possibility during proceedings.
