CNN might not have Don Lemon for long.
Reporting on Lemon’s fight with Kaitlan Collins at CNN this week, I covered the incident. He claimed she interrupted him during the broadcast. She was so upset she “ran out” of the studio. Collins wanted as much time with Lemon as possible, but Collins is still upset at the crew and cast.
One report says that Lemon was told by a producer to “cool down” before asking him to take a vacation.
Although this collection doesn’t show the screaming that occurred during boiling, it does display some tension and sensitivity by Collins in his interaction.
It’s apparent that he reacts to what she says.
Don Lemon is Don Lemon. He doesn’t like being the center of attention.
Radar Online reports Lemon was involved in another incident. He lost it on Collins through the company newsletter which caused him to explode at CNN staffers
An insider claimed that Don lost his mind and became aggressive toward staff after the CNN Newsletter featured a story about him screaming.
RadarOnline.com obtained this newsletter and linked it with an article in the New York Post titled, “Tensions set of CNN This Morning”.
According to photos posted by Malone to Instagram, Don Lemon is currently on “vacation” at The Beverly Hills Hotel with Tim Malone. Are you looking for more time to “cool off”?
This story shows that Lemon still has problems and exposes something about Collins’ split from CNN. This could be what really upsets him.
Megyn Kelly criticized Collins’ treatment and called him a “d**chebag”. She stated that she wouldn’t have stood for such conduct.
But the problem here is that beyond his behavior, the show isn’t working and the ratings are terrible. If the ratings were great, CNN might tolerate him being a bit of a diva. But not when the ratings are in the basement. So what does that mean for Lemon’s time at CNN? One has to think that his time at the network is not going to last.
