NIH Used Hormones on Trans-Identifying Youth During Study, Two of Them Committed Suicide

A new study funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH), and published in the New England Journal of Medicine, (NEJM), examined the effects of experimental hormones on children with gender dysphoria symptoms. The study, which was published on Jan. 19, followed transgender-identifying youth over two years of using the hormone treatments. The study included 315 young adults between 12 and 20 years old. Participants identified as “transgender” and/or “nonbinary. ”

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of hormone treatments on mental well-being in young people with gender dysphoria.

As with so many things in the transgender community, the truth is obscured by deceptive terminology. It’s as if they don’t really know what they do. They perform horrendous medical experiments on children.

The most shocking thing is that both of these suicides are documented on page 243 as well as in a chart on page 245.

Researchers found that these treatments were beneficial for suicide prevention and mental well-being in young people.

Jesse Singal, a journalist, has covered many of these topics. His Substack was the subject of a piece he wrote. It detailed the research and highlighted its flaws.

Singal suggested that researchers may have overlooked data that wasn’t in line with their hypothesis.

You can compare that figure with the protocol document to see that eight key variables were of most interest to the researchers. Six variables (or 75%), are included in the hypothesis of the researchers (which also includes the shorter preregistered version.

Singal continues to point out that “most of these variables aren’t mentioned at all” in the NEJM paper.

He noted that although the authors didn’t report on suicide attempts or completed suicides, they did mention the suicidality scores. This would allow them statistically to analyze the suicidality level in the sample over time, just as other variables’ longitudinal trajectories.

Data on suicide risk after hormone use was not included by the authors.

The researchers will report more data later.

Progressives argue that minor children can undergo medical transformations because there is enough data to prove that they are effective. They continue pushing for these treatments regardless of possible outcomes.

But, studies in many European countries have shown alarming results. While these drugs may provide short-term mental health benefits, many people suffer from long-term mental problems.

It is just as terrible as it sounds.
