Senate Republicans hope to pass a collective resolution to repeal a Washington, DC City Council Democrats approved law which extends municipal voting rights to illegal aliens.
In October 2022, the D.C. City Council approved a bill that will allow foreign nationals voting in local elections such as school board elections and mayoral elections.
The measure must be thrown out by Congress before it can take effect. This includes thousands of people who came to D.C. via buses from Texas.
Allowing illegal immigrants and other foreign nationals to vote in the capital is an insult for all Americans. Every Democrat should support the effort to end this bizarre policy after years of complaining about foreign interference in elections.
Breitbart News reported last month that a similar joint resolution had been introduced by a group headed by Rep. James Comer (R.KY) as part of a House Republican delegation.
The resolution must be approved by both the Senate & House Republicans to prevent the D.C. law from being implemented.
