Wrongly Cancelled Professor Says Woke Students Complaints Led To Fear Of Being Killed By Muslim Extremists

Professor Steven Greer, 66 and human rights scholar, was exonerated last year of Islamophobia following an inquiry. He said that he is afraid of left-wing activists.

Greer was first accused of Islamophobia in 2020 when he displayed a cartoon depicting the Prophet Mohammed on a slide in his class at Bristol University. Bristol University has over 22,000 students and is based in the United Kingdom.

The Islamic Society of Bristol University filed a complaint against Greer, alleging that Greer’s teachings were Islamophobic. The complaint was also made public via an online petition and social media campaign on February 20, 2021.

Greer was accused of being bigoted for speaking out on Sharia Law and how women are treated in Islamic countries.

Even though the 5-month Bristol University investigation found that Greer’s accusations were unfounded, Greer succumbed to his injuries.

Greer was signed off by a doctor, and placed on an unofficial “research-leave.” He was not assigned any teaching duties upon his return to campus. His teaching module on Islam and China was eventually removed by Bristol University, where he had taught since the 1980s.

He also fled to hide after Bristol University Law School students complained about elements of his course that were Islamophobic.

Greer said to Daily Mail that she was forced to be a fugitive in order to include fact-based, academically authoritative information in her course. This was to protect my safety.

Greer stated, “My case isn’t the first of its kind, nor is it likely to become the last,”

Greer was so afraid for his life, he grew a bushy beard and wore fake glasses. He also carried a screwdriver in case of attack. He also admitted that he was more concerned about his own safety after being criticized by “woke” students.

Greer expressed concern that academics could be attacked because it was so easy for students to make racist claims “based only on lies and distortion.”

Greer stated that there is a rising risk that students will leave university without critical insight, knowledge or appreciation of the vitality of intellectual freedom in a healthy democracy. “Some will continue their leadership careers while wearing self-tied blinkers and gags.” This is not a good sign for our future.
