Murdaugh Items From South Carolina Estate Moselle Up For Auction As Home Sells

Published on

The Murdaugh family’s South Carolina hunting land will be up for auction. This is where Alex Murdaugh murdered his son and wife.

Liberty Auction in Pembroke accepts only personal bids

In a Facebook post, the auction said that “Here’s an inside look at a prominent estate located in Colleton County South Carolina.” The auction also featured photos of the furniture. However, we’re eager to meet everyone Thursday night!

Furniture and household articles include a leather sofa with pillows featuring Maggie Murdaugh’s monogrammed initials and lamps with turtle shell bases and mounted animal heads. Green and brown tableware are also available.

FOX Carolina reported that the items belonged for the first time to the Murdaugh family. Fox News Digital was also informed by Liberty Auction that additional photos will be uploaded Tuesday afternoon.

According reports from local media outlets and a real-estate company, the items will go up for auction because Moselle holds a contract valued at $3.7 million.

Crosby Land Company, Inc., Walterboro, South Carolina real estate firm, listed the 1,700-acre Islandton property under contract for $3.9 million. FOX Carolina was informed by an attorney that the sale would likely close next Wednesday at $3.7 Million.

The proceeds of the sale will be divided among many people involved in a lawsuit stemming from the 2018 death at sea Mallory Beach’s friend and captain, Paul Mudaugh. Paul, who was drunk, took Mallory on a ride along South Carolina’s coastline before colliding with a bridge.

Alex will receive $530,000 for Buster Murdaugh, his only child and eldest son.

Mark Tinsley, who represents three victims in a boat accident, Beach, will be paid the remaining portion of his attorney’s fee. John Marvin Murdaugh, on the other hand, will receive $290,000. This money will go towards legal fees.

Court documents indicate that an additional $275,000 will also be paid to co-receivers. Palmetto State Bank will get $25,000 to pay its estate claim, while $6,500 will go to another creditor with estate claims.
Alex Murdaugh was found guilty by a Colleton County jury of the murders his wife and son. The crime took place near the Moselle property’s dog-kennels. Alex Murdaugh was sentenced to life imprisonment

Alex Murdaugh is facing another trial for the 99 financial crime he is charged with in South Carolina’s Lowcountry. He faces charges of embezzling nearly $9 million from a personal injury law firm that he manages.
