Federal prosecutors announced that a New Yorker was charged Friday with plotting to kill police officers and threaten the death of the mayor of the area where the St. Patrick’s Day parade would take place.
Ridonkola (32), was charged for making threatening interstate communications, according to the Justice Department.
Ridon Kola allegedly made threats to law enforcement via social media. “He stated his support for ISIS and his intention to kill many officers. Kola continued to threaten police with his threats to be fulfilled.” U.S. attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.
Kola supported the terror group for many months and threatened the Yonkers Police Department about the parade that will be held Saturday.
Kola sent a message to the police on March 9th stating that Vallahi (Yonkers rats) would be the first one executed. ”
McLean Avenue forms part of the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade route, where officers will be stationed all through.
Authorities claimed that he also posted photos of himself with an axe days later.
The caption read in Albanian: “Come on Judas. I am waiting for you. ”
Kola was scheduled to appear before a federal judge on Friday.
