Biden Administration Officials Were Involved In Mar-A-Lago Raid Despite Claiming Otherwise

According to America First Legal, the Biden administration was involved with the raid on the Mar-a-Lago home of former President Donald Trump. This despite reports that employees were “stunned” to learn about the news on social media. Through a Freedom of Information Act request, they obtained internal documents from government.

Reed D. Rubinstein, America First Legal senior counsel, and director of oversight and investigations, stated in a Tuesday social media post that “the evidence further indicates” that Biden officials from both the Executive Office of President (and the Department of Justice) illegally abused their power and then lied about it to the American people. The government seems to not recognize the limits of its power to harass, intimidate, or silence political opposition.

Rubinstein’s comments are in response to a Freedom of Information Act Request from America First Legal. This request revealed that the FBI initially had access to Trump records through a “special access demande” from Biden White House.

This information confirms Fox News’ August report that NARA acting chief Debra Wallace wrote to Trump to refer to the administration’s involvement.

According to records John Laster was “the Archives official responsible” for all Presidential access requests. This is despite Archives claims it was not involved in the DOJ investigation.

America First Legal says that special access to records is allowed for incumbent presidents “only when they are necessary for conduct of current business” at the White House.

According to the organization, “Providing documents to DOJ in criminal investigations is not the White House’s current business.” ”

President Biden was also mentioned in the August letter that Evan Corcoran, Wall’s attorney, sent to Trump.

Wall stated that NARA had notified the Department of Justice of this discovery. The Department requested President Biden to allow NARA access so that the FBI and other members from the Intelligence Community could inspect the boxes.
