Hunter Biden was ordered by an Independence County Circuit Judge to appear in Arkansas next week for a contempt proceeding over allegations that he had withheld financial documents in a case concerning the mother of a child conceived out of wedlock.

Lunden Roberts has accused Hunter Biden, the mother of the child, of disregarding a prior court order and withholding financial data following his attempts to reduce his child-support payments.

Hunter Biden was ordered to be jailed and held in contempt by Roberts’ lawyers on Friday until he submits to discovery. A hearing was scheduled for Monday.

The judge told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that he would no longer allow clients to excuse themselves. “I won’t allow excuses for clients anymore… as it interferes with the progress of litigation which takes way too long to resolve simple issues.”

Hunter’s documents could provide Roberts’ team with information on Hunter Biden’s finances, including information on any income from the sale of art and information regarding a 10% stake in BHR Partners (a Chinese state-backed fund).

Hunter’s attorney claimed that he sold his 10% stake in the fund to a third party in 2021. Hunter Biden’s ten-percent stake is not known to whom or where it was sold. According to Chinese public records, Baidu shows that Skaneateles LLC owns 10 percent of BHR Partner. Washington, DC, documents show Hunter as the sole governor of Skaneateles LLC.

Roberts’ lawyers also won a motion to halt a restraining action against Garrett Ziegler. Ziegler is a former advisor of former President Donald Trump, and the founder of Marco Polo. Roberts’ attorneys asked Ziegler, a former adviser to Donald Trump and founder of Marco Polo, to testify as an expert on Hunter’s “Laptop from Hell,” containing financial information about Hunter Biden.

Hunter’s attorneys failed to convince Judge Meyer that the laptop wasn’t Hunter Biden’s. Meyer then ruled in Roberts’ favor and refused to issue a temporary restraining order against Ziegler.

The judge asked: “Is your client’s position that you are representing to this Court, that it’s not his laptop?”

Brent Langdon, Hunter Biden’s attorney, replied: “Your Honor, I’m not even in a position where I can begin to answer this question.”

Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell admitted to the fact that Hunter Biden’s laptop was abandoned in a Delaware case.
