Mother Expresses Pure Agony as Search for Missing Americans off Coast of Mexico Continues

According to Monday’s reports, the mother of one of the three Americans who went missing on a sailing trip off the coast of Mexico this month said that both her daughter and her husband were experienced sailors.

Ellen Argall, the mother of Pennsylvanian Kerry O’Brien told CBS News that her daughter loved the water, and said “I’m confident that my daughter is safe.”

“I pray and hope that I hear good news”. She said, “I only want good news. ”

She said that waiting for news was “pure torture”.

“I just want to stay together,” Argall said.

Kerry O’Brien and Frank O’Brien, along with Bill Gross, another sailor, left on April 4 near Mazatlan, Mexico, about 220 miles away from Cabo San Lucas.

On the 6th of April, they planned to stop at Cabo in California before continuing on to San Diego.

On Friday, the U.S. Coast Guard released a statement saying that there was “no record” of this group’s arrival in Cabo. There also wasn’t any information available on their location.

The U.S. Coast Guard is leading the search efforts, along with Mexico’s Navy. Hundreds of boaters are also involved.

Kerry, a graduate of Murrysville High School in Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs, now lives with her husband in Alaska.

She has always been fond of water. As a child, she had a waterbed. According to CBS Pittsburgh, her mother said that she was on two different swimming teams.

Kerry started boating after she met Frank 20 years ago.

According to reports, the U.S. Coast Guard stated that sailors from “Ocean Bound” made contact with docks in Cabo on April 6, but their vessel did not arrive. This was the last communication the crew had.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard, “search and Rescue Coordinators” contacted Baja, Mexico marinas but found no evidence of the vessel.

“Urgent marine information broadcasts have been issued over VHF radio requesting all mariners to keep a lookout for the missing persons and vessel.”
