Mother Gives Birth on San Francisco Sidewalk

A viral video shows a crying baby lying on a San Francisco sidewalk with the mother, who apparently just gave birth on the street.

KRON-TV reported that the baby was born on Thursday. According to the station, the video circulated Saturday and officials could not confirm its authenticity because of medical privacy laws.

The fire department informed the station that the mother and the baby had been taken to a local hospital where they are in stable condition.

The video shows an infant, already born, lying on the sidewalk covered with a blanket. She is then positioned in front of her mother. It’s not clear how long it took between the time of birth and the beginning of the video.

The mother appears distraught and worried about her baby. A man beside them adjusts the blanket and attempts to calm her down.

As the mother picks up the newborn, it appears that the umbilical cord remains attached. He assures her that everything will be alright. They will come to pick you up.

Others are also nearby and will try to help.

The man who was next to the mother and the newborn, trying to comfort her, appeared to be recording the events on his cell phone. He was probably doing so to document the event for his own legal protection.

KTVU-TV cited an Instagram post to report that the video was shot near the 900 block of Geary Street, near Union Square.

David Choi, a songwriter, tweeted: “This makes my heart incredibly sad. As a species, we need to be more compassionate and kind towards one another. We can do better.”

“My God. “What have we done?” Another Twitter user asked the same question before adding the hashtag “SanFrancisco”.

Another commenter said, “Truly, the most depressing thing that I’ve seen in California since *checks watch* yesterday.”

Another user directed his comments to the left-wing California Governor. Gavin Newsom “… After you’re done telling us all about Florida’s calamity, or whatever else, would you mind cleaning up your backyard? You will be able to see daily SF horrors in your negative ads if you run for president.”

San Francisco has been a hotbed for homelessness, drug addiction, and brazen shoplifting under its far-left political leadership in the past few years.
