Adam Kinzinger, former U.S. Rep. (R-Ill.), said that a snake fell out of his airplane’s wheel well after a four-hour trip from Texas to Illinois.
“Yesterday I flew 4 hours from Texas to Illinois at 17,500 feet. At that altitude, the outside temperature was -8. When I landed and taxied into the airport, this snake fell out of my wheel well.” Kinzinger posted a tweet on Monday stating, “Welcome to Illinois, SATAN.” He tweeted several pictures of the reptile as well.

Someone who responded to the former lawmaker said, “This is a non-poisonous Texas rat snake by the way in case you were curious.”
“Ya. But him hijacking my plane is, discomforting!” Kinzinger replied.

Kinzinger left office early in January, after serving for more than 10 years in the House chamber. He did not seek reelection in 2020.
Kinzinger, one of 10 House Republicans, voted in favor of impeaching then-President Donald Trump after the Capitol Riot of Jan. 6, 2021. He was also one of two Republican members of the House Select Committee, which was supposed to conduct an investigation into the incident of Jan. 6. Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican left office in January after her term was over. Cheney lost the 2022 primary against a Trump-backed candidate.
