Trump Will Be Charged With 34 Felonies

Published on

Alvin Bragg, Manhattan District Attorney, has decided that as long as he drives us into banana republic territory he may as well pedal to the metal. He is planning to accuse Donald Trump of not one but 34 felonies. Although he has only the most basic of cases, it is clear that Leftist elites don’t believe that this fake arrest will give Trump the White House on a platter in 2024. They have decided to do everything they can to keep him from getting back into the White House.

Bragg’s reckless, destructive persecution of Trump appears to be calculated that the prospect that a presidential candidate is facing a long list of felony charges will give distracted voters the impression that Trump has committed some terrible crime. This will frighten them away. Democrats seem to be betting that Trump’s indictment will be the first for a presidential candidate. This would explain why Alvin Bragg seems to be happy to appear to be conducting a corrupt and politicized prosecution to remove the chief opposition to the ruling regime.

Michael Isikoff, Yahoo News’s reporter, reported that Bragg would “charge Trump for falsification business records.” This source said that Trump will not be placed in handcuffs or taken to jail.

This will not be because Bragg and his henchmen have any respect for the dignity of the former president or the office he once held. It is simply because they have concluded that there is no reason to handcuff the 76-year-old Trump or take a mug shot: defendants are handcuffed to prevent them from fleeing, and since Trump is always surrounded by Secret Service agents, so he couldn’t even if he wished to do so. The mug shot, meanwhile, is likewise unnecessary because one would be hard-pressed to find anyone in the world who wouldn’t recognize Donald J. Trump.

Isikoff points out that 34 felonies were based on the shadiest of grounds. “The New York State can prosecute the charge of falsification business records as a misdemeanor. Bragg’s office reclassified all charges to Class E felonies, the lowest level of New York state felonies. This was because the conduct was intended to conceal an underlying crime. Bragg wants to make Trump look strong and tarnish his reputation. It is easy to imagine Leftist politicians asking their audiences how they could vote for someone who has been charged with 34 felonies. That was the point of all of this.

Abe Hamadeh (the Republican nominee for Arizona attorney-general) noted the thick Bragg was covering it up: “34 felonies?” As a former prosecutor, I have never seen such a large number of charges. In sex crimes cases, the most I saw was 25. This was because each child porn image was charged. The left has attacked ALL our institutions. The rule of law has been broken.”

It is. And we are in unfamiliar territory. According to Isikoff, a Class E felony of falsifying records business records could result in a four-year sentence. However, this seems unlikely as a practical matter. A New York law enforcement official said that no one is eligible for jail time as a first offender. While no one is eligible for jail time as a first offender, we are referring to Donald Trump and his relentless attempts to destroy him. Could this be his first time for this kind of offense? Certainly.

Isikoff stated that the evidence for Trump’s alleged crimes to escalate to felonies was still unclear and will not be until Tuesday’s indictment is unsealed.” It’s quite obvious now: Trump’s opposition to Leftist political power and his 2024 presidential candidacy is the underlying crime. No matter how extravagant the legal legerdemain Bragg might concoct, this is what it is and everyone knows that.
