Valuetainment Television, a new media company, announced that it was offering Tucker Carlson an exclusive five-year contract worth $100 million, along with ownership shares of Valuetainment Television. They are hoping to take over Fox News Channel.
Fox News Channel has canceled Tucker Carlson Tonight. This completes a career-long trifecta of cancellations for outspoken journalists.
WABC radio’s James Golden, aka Bo Snerdley, former call screener and friend of the late Rush Limbaugh, said Rush got sick and tired of being fired. After being let go seven times, Limbaugh decided he would never be fired again. Instead, he would own his product and sell it to distributors. Golden thinks Tucker Carlson is a prime candidate to do the same thing.
It may seem that 100 million dollars is not much, but Carlson earns about the same as he did before. He’s about to begin new negotiations with Fox. Tucker could, like Jack Parr in the early days of the Tonight Show, retire and let others vie to reach the top.
Fox would have likely won the appeal after it had been removed from the biased political system and judicial system in Delaware.
The chain of events began. Fox’s risk assessment committee could have decided against Carlson. It seems that they will not go too far.
