Joe Biden addressed the Wagner PMC rebellion in Russia on Monday for the first time.
As we reported on Friday, Yevgeny Prgoshin declared his goals and then took Rostov. Biden did not publicly address the issue until Monday. Biden’s public address came after the rebellion had been effectively over. It takes him days to answer such important questions, just as we have seen with the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and this recent chaotic event that could have put nuclear power at risk. When the shit hit the fan in Afghanistan, he was on vacation. We didn’t get to hear his official live statement until after his weekend getaway.
Where was he this weekend? We reported that he was at Camp David with his son Hunter.

Hunter and Joe boarded Joe’s Marine helicopter, along with a large bag. Many guessed that they would be discussing the Biden scandal of foreign dealings, which was only exacerbated by the IRS whistleblowers’ revelations. It’s much more private at Camp David to meet people, such as advisors and lawyers, than it is at the White House. Jake Sullivan, the National Security Advisor, was with them at Camp David over the weekend.
Biden said that he had met with his allies to discuss the situation in Russia and asked for updates every hour. He said that his first priority was to prove that the U.S., NATO, and other countries had “nothing” to do with Russia.

They agreed with my statement that we must make sure…that we don’t give Putin any excuse to blame the West or NATO for this. We were clear in saying that we weren’t involved. We were not involved. This was part and parcel of a fight within the Russian system.
I also spoke with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine. Biden said, “We’ll keep in touch with him and perhaps speak to him later today.” “I told him no matter what happens in Russia, the United States will support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and its defense.
Biden said that they are still trying to evaluate what has happened. He said they could not reach a conclusion about the direction of all this, but he emphasized they continue to support Ukraine.
Here’s the thing. When you are the alleged leader in the free world, it’s not wise to wait for days before making an official statement, especially when you have been involved in a scandal involving your son. People tend to think that you’re not putting your priorities where they should be. Instead, you are trying to defend yourself and prepare for what may come next. He is playing catch-up now but was once again absent from the scene when it happened.
