After Donald Trump was arraigned, I wrote a piece about the pathetic chyrons PBS added to his speech in Bedminster N.J. Tuesday night.
Trump’s comments were a measured analysis of some of the possible defenses he could offer to the charges. PBS ran a chyron warning that “violent rhetoric has increased in online forums and far-right militia groups since Trump’s federal indictment.”
PBS did not have any chyrons when Joe Biden gave his “red address” in Philadelphia and demonized MAGA Americans, even though Biden was trying to stir up anger toward millions of Americans. The chyrons were an apparent attempt to smear Trump as violent, despite his not having said anything that suggested violence. CNN and MSNBC, two liberal media outlets, didn’t cover the remarks in real time because of their bias.
Fox, another network that covered it live, also had a chyron problem. This is causing the left to go into a frenzy. Fox and Trump are both on the outs. But it seems that whoever created the chyron was trying to make a point.
Fox News ends its 8pm hour w/ the chyron: “wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested”

Trump said that Hillary Clinton did not have the authority to declassify any documents in the classified document scandal. The chyron read, “Wannabe dictator talks at the White House following his political rival’s arrest.” It ran during the remarks just before 9 pm.
Biden delivered Juneteenth remarks. However, they didn’t receive anywhere near as much attention as Trump’s. If he was hoping that he could surpass Trump’s remarks then a failure was inevitable. Fox did not even play his sound.
People on the left were furious. The left was not yelling at the PBS chyrons for being inappropriate, but rather the Fox chyron that ran with a split-screen of Biden and Trump calling Biden a “wannabe leader.”

Several people argued that the White House or its advertisers should stop sponsoring Fox.
Yeah, if Fox News is running chyrons calling Biden “a wannabe dictator,” then there’s really no need to keep pretending it’s worth taking questions from Steve Doocy’s kid or whoever’s in there now. https://t.co/RIGhOCh1Aa

FOX referring to Pres. Biden as a “wannabe dictator” should be the final straw for advertisers to withdraw their support & for cable companies to remove FOX from their TV lineups.
Apparently FOX learned nothing from its payout of $787.5 million in the Dominion defamation lawsuit. https://t.co/kBoublxott— Charles Campisi (@1813Doncarlo) June 14, 2023
It is already difficult for the White House to be transparent. By excluding reporters from their briefing, they will only make it worse. This would be another way to make their faces look bad.
A journalism professor warns leftists that by commenting, they are spreading a false claim.
Fox’s “wannabe dictator” chyron was designed for secondary circulation on social media.
Good work y’all, you helped boost it far beyond the network’s reach.

The Fox chyron is hilarious to the right.

It’s more likely that it was an error/anomaly than a larger comment from Fox. It could have been intended for Sean Hannity’s opinion show but it appeared to be intentional.
According to the New York Times, Fox News representatives did not respond immediately to requests for comments. This suggests to me that it was an error and Fox is now trying to track down what happened.
