Crime Spikes 38% as Chicago’s New Mayor Faces Thugs, Gangs, and Criminals

What is the criminal element of Chicago saying about Mayor Brandon Johnson’s arrival? Since Mayor Brandon Johnson’s appointment on May 15, gangs, thugs, and other criminals are busy. The crime rate has risen by an astounding 38%. This is a sign for Johnson to get moving on his plans to reduce crime and improve public safety.

Washington Examiner:

The number of vehicle thefts has increased by 153%. Burglary is up by 12%. Even shootings are on the rise. The Chicago Police Department issued a community alert to residents a few weeks ago to urge them to be vigilant and always on the lookout when entering or exiting vehicles.

Murders are the only exception, as they have fallen by 5%. It means that there were three fewer deaths in raw numbers.

Praise the Lord for little favors. Chicago’s gangs need to practice their shootings before summer begins.

My tongue should be firmly planted in my cheek when I pretend to blame Johnson’s rise in crime. According to Jack Elbaum of the Examiner, Chicago’s crime rate has increased 56% in the last four years, but Johnson has not been in office for long enough to make any changes. This number should be enough to get the police, citizens, and activists together to take back control of the city from criminals who don’t care about their turf wars or endless vendettas.

Chicagoans once united to fight gangsters. The city was in the hands of prohibition-era gangs. The gangsters controlled the police, the aldermen, and even the mayor, Big Bill Thompson. It’s a myth that Eliot Ness cleaned up the city. But the methods used to defeat and fight the gangsters were not a myth. The city’s leaders, together with courageous prosecutors, worked to get the worst gangsters off the streets and into prison.

Johnson must first acknowledge that there is a problem.

Johnson stated that “We are investing hundreds of millions of dollars in violence prevention, intervention, and disruption.” We are already reaping the benefits of that.”

Huh?

Johnson stated that “we need to make sure we solve violent crimes.” This will act as a deterrent, so it is important.

Johnson’s 1,300 detectives probably had to ask him to repeat himself. Johnson, who was a supporter of the “defunding the police” campaign, wanted to dissolve many of the units that were specialized in solving violent crimes. While running for office, he changed his mind and said that he had never supported the defunding of police.

Johnson is in a serious state of denial, bordering on delusion. He claims that Chicago’s youth needs a more accurate “characterization”.

Johnson stated that “there have been many mischaracterizations of our youth in Chicago.” Do we have individuals that have expressed their pain violently? “Yes, of course. But the vast majority need and desire opportunity.”

“Lived through their pain”? What a bunch of crap. Youth violence is learned and the result of poor role models.

Chicago saw nine teen deaths from violence over the last month, compared to just four in the same period of time last year. Johnson must be made aware of the reality facing young black men in Chicago. I can assure you that it has nothing to do with those who “lived out their pain through the most violent means.”
