Democratic Party in Disarray as RFK Jr.’s Primary Challenger Sparks Panic

The Democrat Party still hasn’t found a solution for its RFK Jr. issue. As with any figure who is uncomfortable outside the establishment, the first impulse of his party was to ignore him. However, he is too popular in the polls and has too many outlets in conservative grassroots media to be effectively silenced.

They then moved on to the predictable smears that he was an “anti-vaxxer,” conspiracy theory, “fringe candidate”, “vanity candidate”, etc. Then, failing that, they used the “bigot’s” well to smear him as “antisemite”, based on the dubious comparison of the U.S. lockdown with Nazi persecution of Jews. Perhaps undue comparisons with fascist genocides are in poor taste and overblown, but comparing authoritarian policies to Third Reich is commonplace and not antisemitic.

As I reported yesterday, corporate state media has a new attack plan: they are targeting his Hollywood-favorite actress wife in an attempt to split his marriage and possibly recruit her for the opposition.

The neoliberal movement has been putting out its big guns early on in the primary campaign, compared to other candidates. For example, they waited to talk about Bernie Sanders until just before the primary campaign. The mainstream candidates, like Buttigieg and Klobuchar, were not even united around Biden until the primary elections had started.

RFK Jr. is shaking the establishment in a manner that I haven’t seen since Trump on either the Democrat or Republican side.

The Hill, June 7th:

“Democrats are growing concerned that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s profile is rising just as President Biden embarks on a challenging campaign to keep the White House out of Republican control.

Kennedy, a vaccine-skeptic who ran a primary campaign against Biden in the spring, has been doing well in polls. As a result, he is receiving more media attention. This week, he was also on a media tour that included a Twitter Spaces conversation with Elon Musk as well as a digital town hall discussion with journalist Michael Smerconish.

Democrats consider Kennedy a fringe candidate with a history of spreading conspiracy theories. His relatively good poll numbers and his media-ready image as an heir to a famous political family have led some to be concerned that he could gain momentum and distract from the task to reelect Biden in 2020…

Kennedy certainly stirred some untapped anger in his own party. Democrats have seen Kennedy rise to double-digits in recent polls.

Democrats have largely dismissed Kennedy’s election campaign as a distraction. Those who have been more critical of Kennedy’s stance on politics and science, without presenting any credible evidence, in recent days are becoming increasingly upset.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. can generate media attention and even a little curiosity due to his name. Jim Kessler said that if he is not a joker, he will be a gadfly.

Hypocrisy is personified when a Third Way thinker, a neoliberal think-tank that regularly supports Hillary Clinton knockoffs, calls RFK Jr.’s campaign “laughable”. If they thought it was funny, then they would be laughing, not panicking and plotting to assassinate RFK Jr.’s character.
