Emails Show Burisma Executive Opened Maltese Bank Account For Hunter Biden

Emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop reveal that Burisma Holdings executive Vadym pozharskyi told Hunter Biden, in 2016, that he would open a Maltese account for him.

Pozharskyi is an associate of Mykola Zochevsky who, according to the FBI informant document, paid Hunter and Joe Biden $5 million each in a pay for play scheme. According to Sen. Chuck Grassley, (R-IA), a FBI informant document shows that Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly recorded 17 audio recordings as “insurance.”

According to emails uncovered by Marco Polo, Burisma attempted to transfer money to the Bidens via a Maltese account that Pozharskyi had set up for Hunter Biden.

In May 2016, Pozharskyi asked for documentation needed to open the account, which included a copy Hunter’s passport and a reference letter from a bank.

Hunter replied to Pozharskyi: “We are working this out – I traveled with my father and had my passport overseas last week.”

Joan Mayer (Hunter Biden’s Assistant) provided copies of Hunter Biden documentation to Pozharskyi in the weeks that followed. Mayer suggested that Hunter’s lawyer confirm his salary by providing a letter.

Hi Vadym

Slowly but surely, we are getting there. I’m not sure if this will help, but here are the color passport and utility bill. The documents still need to be apostiled, which we will do once we receive the other documents requested.

What is needed for “a certified statement of source wealth, including profile”? We can provide an official letter from Hunter’s company, Owasco confirming his salary. Does the bank want to see that?

A Burisma lawyer emailed Hunter Biden on May 13, 2016, a week after Mayer had followed up with Pozharskyi regarding the additional documents. The attorney shared the address and Swift code of Satabank, the Maltese Bank:

Pozharskyi replied with the following confirmation: “All received!”

Satabank was shut down in 2018 for money laundering.

The deal involved the Ukrainian energy giant Burisma, which had US President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter on its board until April 2019.

The transaction passed all due diligence checks, including the one conducted by Satabank in Malta. Satabank processed the transaction but has since lost their operating licence.

The court heard about the beginning of the police investigation into the involvement Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky. He is a Ukrainian politician, oil and gas businessman and oligarch.

Malta reported that a year later the bank’s account was frozen and investigations were launched for suspicious transactions linked to illegal activities. Malta reported in 2021 that “nearly EUR11 Billion in transactions that passed through Malta’s Satabank in 2020 were flagged by auditors EY as suspicious.”

The New York Post reported in 2020 that Ukrainian officials had seized $6 million in cash linked to Mykola Zolochevsky. The report stated that “Ukrainian authorities seized a 6 million dollar cash bribe, the largest ever in the history of the country,” in a case involving the founder of Burisma holdings, the company which gave Hunter Biden the seat on its board.”

Hunter and Joe Biden seemed to have met Pozharskyi personally in 2015. Pozharskyi sent Hunter Biden an email, along with his business partner Devon Archer, to thank Hunter Biden. Hunter Biden had organized a private dinner at Cafe Milano for then Vice President Joe Biden.

Thank you for inviting to DC. I was able to spend some time with your father. The email states, “It’s a realty [sic] honor and pleasure.”

Pozharskyi had asked Hunter Biden in an earlier email for advice that would benefit Burisma.

Please advise us on the best way to use your influence in order to stop actions that we consider politically motivated.

Burisma Holdings is the leader in private gas producers.

Accelor Mital, Ukraine’s largest metal-steel plant, is our primary client. We provide more than 60% of the plant’s gas requirements.

Our ability to perform our contractual obligations and the work we do for our clients is a major factor in their success.

We have hundreds of employees. We employ hundreds of employees etc. ;

Negative influences on our businesses can have multiple negative consequences, including economic, social and political.

I am waiting for your response.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA, a member the House Oversight Committee told Breitbart News that Zlochevsky was shown in the FBI document as telling the informant it would take 10 years to unravel the alleged payments.

She said that the document also indicated Hunter Biden’s position as a member of Burisma’s board where he was paid about $80,000 per monthly. Hunter Biden owed a total of $5 million in monthly payments as part of the deal he made with his father.

James Comer, Chair of the House Oversight Committee (R-KY), believes that despite the allegations made by the FBI informant, the FBI has not taken any action. Comer issued two additional bank subpoenas and demanded Devon Archer testify last week due to the stonewalling. Archer is an associate of the Biden family and Hunter Biden’s “best business friend.”

In 2014, Archer and Hunter Biden served on the board Burisma in Ukraine. Archer and Joe Biden, then Vice President, were photographed in Southhampton in New York in 2014. Archer resigned as a director of Burisma in 2016 after his arrest.
